I have 22 years of experience teaching learners in Pre-K through 4th grade in Michigan and Florida. My passion for teaching began when I earned my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. After working in the criminal justice field, I realized my true calling was in education. I went back to school to earn my Masters Degree in Elementary Education and I have never looked back. Throughout my years of teaching, I have learned to make online learning fun and engaging for my students. I know that sitting in front of a computer for hours can be tough for learners, especially young ones. That's why I incorporate games and fun activities into my lessons to keep kids excited and engaged in the material. I also make sure to support my learners and address their individual needs to ensure a successful learning experience. When I'm not teaching, I have a variety of interests and hobbies that keep me busy. I coach a dance team at my school, where I get to share my love for dance with my students. I also enjoy gardening and raising butterflies, which helps me relax and stay connected with nature. And of course, I can't forget about my dogs, who always keep me entertained and on my toes! All of these interests influence my teaching style and methodology, as they have taught me to be patient, creative, and adaptable, which are essential traits for any great educator. With 22 years of experience, teaching PreK and kindergarten students in Florida has been my passion. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and am certified to teach early childhood through 3rd grade. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish, which allows me to better connect with Spanish-speaking learners and families. As an educator, I firmly believe in making learning fun and engaging for young learners, especially through online platforms. I love incorporating sing-alongs and games into my lessons to keep kids entertained while also learning. I also use various strategies to ensure effective online learning, such as incorporating interactive content like videos, quizzes, and simulations. This not only keeps learners engaged but also helps with retention and understanding. Outside of teaching, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors with my dogs or riding my bicycle.

I have been teaching for 21 years. For 17 years I have taught 1st and 2nd grade and loved seeing the students growth on a weekly basis. For the last 4 years I have been teaching PE and Health and I enjoy teaching students about taking care of their physical and mental health and about taking care of their healthy body. I miss teaching reading the most because it is a passion of mine and I hope to be able to help online learners gain the confidence they need to succeed in school.
