Hi! I’m Eliza, a certified Special Education teacher with 29 years of experience teaching students from Pre-K through High School in math, reading, writing, spelling, and science. I’ve spent my entire career helping struggling learners build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and feel truly successful in school. I specialize in working with students who have ADHD, anxiety, autism, IEP/504 plans, executive functioning challenges, or who simply need a patient, encouraging tutor who understands how they learn best. My sessions are calm, structured, engaging, and tailored to every child’s individual needs. I’m passionate about making learning feel positive, manageable, and fun—especially for students who have felt frustrated, overwhelmed, or discouraged in traditional classrooms. My goal is always the same: help your child feel proud of themselves and excited to learn again.

Hello! My name is Ms. Sarah, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for over 20 years and have experience working with learners from Pre-Kindergarten through 9th grade. My passion for education and dedication to my students have enabled me to teach a wide variety of subjects, including elementary music, elementary and middle school math, and special education. I have taught in my home state of North Carolina throughout my entire career and possess a diverse educational background. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Music Therapy, and I am currently working towards an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Since I love being a student just as much as I love teaching, I look for opportunities to learn as much as I can from wherever I can! This has led to certifications in teaching students with Specific Learning Disabilities, such as the Orton-Gillingham Method and Dyscalculia frameworks, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. With my extensive experience and qualifications, I am confident in my ability to provide engaging and effective tutoring sessions using explicit, multisensory, and systematic methods that are FUN, ENGAGING, & IMPACTFUL. As a tutor, I make online learning fun and engaging for my students by celebrating both their big and small accomplishments. I believe that mistakes are proof of effort and encourage my learners always to try their best. To ensure that online learning is effective, I employ a variety of strategies, including providing ample practice opportunities, interactive activities, and maintaining a good pace - I like to say that we'll "go as fast as we can, but as slow as we need." :) Outside of teaching, I enjoy singing with a 17-piece jazz band, gardening, crafting, and spending as much time as possible with my family doing things together outdoors. My creative hobbies have influenced my teaching style, as I continually seek new and innovative ways to make learning enjoyable for my students, and I particularly enjoy using multi-sensory methods for learning. I am excited to share my knowledge and passion for education with you and your family. Let's start this learning journey together!

My name is Jessica and I have 17 years of experience teaching math and science to learners in grades 6-8. I have taught in North Carolina and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Education. In addition, I am certified to teach math for grades 6-12 and science for grades 6-9. My goal as a tutor is to make online learning not only effective, but also fun and engaging for your kids. I achieve this by incorporating games and activities into our sessions, and by building relationships with my learners based on common interests. Through formative assessments and continuous questioning and problem-solving, I ensure that your kids are retaining the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their academic journeys. Outside of teaching, I have a passion for sports, including football, baseball, basketball, and softball. I am also a fan of Nascar and love spending time with my family and kids. While my personal interests do not necessarily influence my teaching style, I believe they do contribute to my ability to connect with kids and create a positive learning environment. I am excited to bring this enthusiasm and energy to our online sessions and help your kids thrive! I can't wait to start working with your family and supporting your kids' academic growth. My experience, qualifications, and passion for teaching make me confident in my ability to help your kids excel in their studies. I have been teaching and supporting learners for 30 years in the beautiful state of Colorado. I specialize in teaching ALL grades, with a focus on Reading, Writing and Math. Teaching is not just a job, but my passion and purpose. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in English: Secondary Education. I also have certifications in Special Education for Generalist and Severe/Affective Needs. Beyond my qualifications, I bring a positive and engaging attitude to all of my online sessions. I believe that learning should be fun, so I incorporate games, music and connecting with my learners on a personal level. This helps me develop genuine and crucial relationships with my students, which in turn, makes learning more effective and enjoyable! In addition, my personal interests in music, sports, and animals also influence my teaching style and methodology. I believe that all learners have the potential to succeed and it's my job to find the right tools and strategies to help them reach their goals. When I'm not teaching, you can find me playing one of my 10 instruments or watching my favorite sports teams. I am also a huge animal lover, especially dogs! I am excited to bring my love for music, sports, and animals into my teaching and use it to connect with my learners. Hi! My name is Iris and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! This is my sixth year teaching and I have taught math for 4th-8th grade and religion for 5th-7th grade. I have also tutored younger grades after school. I teach in Florida and hold a BA in Mathematics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Judaism and Jewish-Christian Relations, and an MA in Theology. My teaching certification is in Mathematics for grades 5-9. My goal as a tutor is to make online learning fun and engaging for my students. I believe that incorporating games and providing encouraging feedback are key to keeping kids interested and excited about learning. I also make sure to give assessments that require critical thinking and encourage learners to ask questions. This not only helps them better understand the material, but also teaches them valuable skills for independent learning. Outside of teaching, I enjoy walking, yoga, and watching movies. These interests influence my teaching style as I am always striving to be patient and give learners enough time to answer questions. I understand that every child learns differently and I am dedicated to finding the best methods that work for each individual student. I am looking forward to getting to know your family and helping your kids reach their full potential through personalized 1:1 tutoring sessions. Let's make learning a fun and rewarding experience together!
