I’m a caring, patient educator who truly enjoys helping students grow both academically and personally. I believe learning should feel supportive, encouraging, and even fun. I am A Special Education Teacher in Nevada. I am a Filipino and have been teaching 2nd Grade for 10 years.

I have been a passionate educator for 8 years and have experience teaching General Education (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies…) to learners in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I have taught in both Florida and North Carolina, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and a Master's in Curriculum Instruction. My goal is to create a supportive and positive environment for my students to develop a strong math identity and a growth mindset. In my online sessions, I use a balanced approach of inquiry and explicit instruction to make learning engaging and accessible for all my learners. Outside the classroom, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, ages 24 and 22. She loves being outdoors—whether walking, skiing, or simply enjoying nature—and treasures time shared with family and friends.

Hello! I am absolutely thrilled to be a Dojo Tutor. With twenty-five years of experience in education, I have had the joy of working in many different roles. Over the years, I have managed a daycare, partnered with the health department, taught children ages 0 to 3 with developmental delays, led an autistic Pre-K class, spent 8 years in inclusion special education, 2 years in regular education, and 11 years in gifted education. As a mother of two college-aged daughters—one pursuing her Master's in Speech Pathology, the other studying agricultural communications—I understand the importance of providing personalized support to help each child reach their goals. I've also been married for twenty-four years to a wonderful preacher, which has allowed me the unique experience of serving alongside him as a pastor’s wife.
