I have been teaching for 8 years and have experience working with learners in Pre-K through 5th grade. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the pleasure of teaching in various states such as Texas, Chicago, and Louisiana. My passion and expertise lie in early childhood education and I hold a degree in this field for grades Pre-K through 5th. In addition, I am also certified in English as a Second Language (ESL). One of my biggest goals as a tutor is to make online learning fun and engaging for my students. To achieve this, I love to get dressed up and have exciting lessons that tie in current events. I am a big fan of incorporating themes into my lessons as well. I believe that when learners are having fun, they are more likely to stay engaged and retain the information being taught. As a teacher, I am dedicated to ensuring that online learning is effective for my learners. To achieve this, I employ various strategies to keep my students engaged and interactive during our virtual sessions. I believe that when learners are actively participating and interacting, they have a better understanding of the material being taught. Outside of teaching, I am a big fan of spending quality time with my family. We love to engage in various activities together such as building Lego sets and painting. I also enjoy skating and thrifting in my personal time. My interests and hobbies definitely influence my teaching style as I love to incorporate family activities into my lessons. Additionally, my character interests often make their way into my lessons as well! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family as we embark on this learning journey together. Let's have fun and learn together!

Hi my name is Sabrina Brown. I am excited to start this learning journey with you! For the past 7 years, I have been teaching 3rd through 5th graders in ELA and Math in Tennessee. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Urban Education from Rhodes College. My teaching certifications include Elementary Education K-5 and Interventionist K-8. I make online learning enjoyable and effective by creating interactive lessons on engaging topics and setting goals for my learners. As a student-centered teacher, my goal is to help my students achieve their full potential in a fun and engaging way. I have experience helping students who are several grade levels behind grow significantly, as well as providing enrichment and advanced content for gifted learners who need to be challenged. I specialize in identifying where each student is academically and designing personalized instruction that meets their unique needs. Whether your child needs support catching up or is ready for an extra challenge, I’m equipped to help them grow and thrive. I’m committed to meeting students where they are and helping them move forward with confidence—whether they need support catching up or opportunities to go further. I have been teaching for 10 years in Pennsylvania, specializing in kindergarten through 4th grade and special education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Special Education, with certifications in both instructional II PreK-4 and instructional II Special Education PreK-8. I am passionate about helping learners of all abilities reach their full potential and I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all of my students. In addition to my love for teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga, reading, and cooking in my free time. These interests have influenced my teaching style and methodology, as they have taught me the importance of organization, creativity, and flexibility. I believe that incorporating these strengths into my lessons makes learning more enjoyable and successful for my students. I understand that online learning can be challenging, especially for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade, which is why I am committed to making our sessions as fun and engaging as possible. I use a variety of game-based activities and incorporate videos when appropriate to keep learners interested and focused. By creating a positive and supportive virtual learning environment, I ensure that our time together is effective and enjoyable.

Expert 3rd grade science support, built around your child

Third grade science introduces more complex concepts — forces and motion, life cycles in depth, weather and climate, and properties of matter. Children must understand scientific vocabulary and concepts that appear on standardized tests.

At Dojo Tutor, our 3rd grade science tutors work 1-to-1 with your child to build understanding and vocabulary. Whether it's understanding ecosystems, exploring physical science concepts, or preparing for assessments, sessions make science accessible.

With personalized support, your child can develop the science knowledge and skills that matter.
