-Hi! I’m Emily Jett, an Early Childhood Education Teacher. I have experience teaching second and third grade as well as substitute teaching for PreK-6. I have experience in different school districts as well as different states. I’m passionate about teaching and helping students succeed, both academically and with real-world skills. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, playing games, and spending time with my husband and pets. I also love getting all of the snuggles from my baby boy! I have 11 years of experience teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade learners in Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in EC-6 Bilingual Education, which has given me the skills and knowledge to effectively teach a diverse group of learners in various subjects. My teaching certifications include Bilingual education and I am fluent in Spanish. I love getting to know my students and incorporating their interests into their learning to make it more engaging and enjoyable. As a mother and a teacher, I know the importance of creating a fun and welcoming environment for learners. During our online tutoring sessions, we can take quick breaks and set achievable goals to keep the engagement and motivation high. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church, and playing tennis. I have been teaching for 12 years across grades PreK through 8th. Most of my work has been in South Carolina, where I’ve supported learners from diverse backgrounds. I hold a Master of Education in Educational Administration, I’m a Google for Education Certified Educator, and I’m passionate about helping students grow with confidence.

I’m currently a middle school math teacher in my sixth year of teaching. Before moving to middle school, I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, and I’ve also had short-term experience teaching ELA and Science for grades 5–8. Outside of school, I live with my husband, two dogs, and a cat. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, reading, and going on adventures with my family.

With 8 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of teaching 5th and 6th grade ELA, as well as Kindergarten and an Elective-Reading Lab for kids of all ages. My teaching experience has been primarily focused in the great state of Texas, where I have seen the amazing growth and potential in young learners. As a Bachelor of Science degree holder in Communications Radio/TV, with a Core Subjects EC-6 certification, I am dedicated to making online learning fun and engaging for my students. I believe that giving a smile, encouragement, and creating age-appropriate lessons are key to keeping learners excited and motivated. I also use various strategies to ensure effective online learning, such as regularly checking for understanding throughout the lesson. Outside of teaching, I love reading, listening to my favorite music, and watching TikTok. These interests have definitely influenced my teaching style and methodology, as I am always looking for new and creative ways to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
