Coding Tutoring for Kindergarten

With four years of teaching experience under my belt, I’ve had the joy of working with kids in South Carolina and Georgia, both as a substitute teacher and as a reading tutor. I’ve even sprinkled some web development magic at the college level! To make online learning fun, I dive into what makes each learner tick! I love to bring humor, silly hats, and catchy tunes into our lessons to help kids feel at ease and eager to engage. Together, we’ll set off on a personalized adventure, discovering how you want to learn while keeping it lively and exciting! I’ll also track how you’re doing along the way to ensure we’re hitting those learning goals. Outside of teaching, I’m all about yoga, Pilates, and enjoying a good book or some art time. These passions allow me to bring creativity and clarity into my lessons. I can’t wait to combine our interests and dive into reading, all while making our time together joyful and productive! Hi my name is Mrs. Vogel and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to work with learners from Kindergarten through 8th grade. My teaching experience includes being a K-2 Instructional Strategist and teaching subjects such as Computer Technology and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I have also taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 6th-8th grade Computer Technology.

I have 2 years of experience teaching Kindergarten in sunny Florida. I hold a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education and I am a FLDOE certified teacher. In my classes, I use fun and interactive games to keep my learners engaged and motivated. But it's not all fun and games, I also have effective strategies in place to ensure that online learning is just as effective as in-person learning. I frequently utilize tools like screen sharing, annotation, and breakout discussions to keep my students active and involved. And I always check in with my students to make sure they are understanding the material. Outside of teaching, I love reading and traveling. My experiences visiting different places, such as Washington, DC, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Jamaica, have allowed me to incorporate cultural, historical, and geographical insights into my lessons. This helps my learners see the topics we're learning about in a global and real-world context. So not only will we have fun learning together, but we'll also expand our knowledge about the world around us! Let's work together to make learning a fun and enriching experience. I have been teaching for 19 years and have experience teaching a variety of subjects and grade levels. I have taught 2nd grade, K-5 Computer Science, STEM, and Gifted & Talented programs in New Jersey. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, going to theme parks, playing puzzles, card games, board games, hiking, bike riding, and traveling.

I have spent the last two years teaching high schoolers in Ohio, but my heart truly belongs to younger learners.
