Hi, I’m Mrs. Kniesteadt (Ka-Nee-Sted)! I have over 10 years of experience working in education and love helping students discover just how much they can achieve. I earned my teaching credentials from Sierra Nevada College, along with a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in STEM Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. I’m also trained in the Science of Reading, which allows me to support students in building strong literacy foundations. I believe that all children can learn when given the right tools and encouragement. My approach focuses on meeting each student where they are, celebrating their progress, and helping them grow in confidence and curiosity. Tutoring is especially meaningful to me because I’ve seen how much growth can happen through one-on-one support and personalized instruction. When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me reading a good book, running, or spending time outdoors with my family. I love bringing that same sense of energy, exploration, and joy into my lessons! I am a licensed Special Education Teacher in North Carolina. I work in an elementary school. When I am not teaching I like reading, doing puzzles, being with my family and my cats. I love the beach and winter.

I have been teaching for five years and have experience in 5th grade (all subjects) and 6th grade math and social studies. As a tutor at Dojo Tutor, I will be primarily working with fourth through 6th grade learners, providing 1:1 sessions to make sure they are getting the personalized attention they need to succeed. I have taught in South Carolina and hold a B.A. in Elementary Education (grades 2-6).

Hi! I'm Mr. Dalmas and I am so excited to assist your child in making academic progress! I have been a certified K-8 teacher in New Mexico for 4 years and teaching full time. Before becoming a certified teacher, I was a substitute teacher in PreK-6th grade for 6 years including special education classes. As a substitute teacher I taught almost daily and was tasked with lesson planning in multiple grade levels and subjects. I have been tutoring in my school district for the last 4 years at multiple grade levels and believe in using interactive resources as much as possible to help your child master various concepts throughout the learning process. With 15 years of teaching experience, I have taught learners from Kindergarten to 6th grade in various subjects such as Reading, Math, and English. My teaching adventures have mainly been in Maryland, but I'm excited to expand my reach through Dojo Tutor. Hi! I’m Heather Scott, and I’m so excited to work with your child! I’ve taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades in the general education program, and now I’m proud to teach Special Education. Teaching is truly my calling—I love helping kids learn, grow, and believe in themselves. I’ve also spent over 10 years tutoring before and after school. With 44 years of teaching experience, I have taught a wide variety of grades and subjects, including all grades from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I have taught in both Virginia and North Carolina, honing my skills and expertise to help learners succeed in their academic journey. My educational background includes a Master's degree in PreK-6th education, providing me with a strong foundation to effectively teach and guide kids in their learning. I also hold a North Carolina Prek-6th grade teaching certification, ensuring that I am well-equipped to teach students at any level. Apart from being fluent in English, I also have a passion for music and crafting. As a musician, I enjoy incorporating music into my lessons, making learning fun and engaging for my students. My love for crafting also allows me to get creative with my teaching methods, providing hands-on and interactive learning experiences for my learners. These interests have undoubtedly influenced my teaching style, allowing me to connect with my students on a personal level and make learning a fun and enjoyable experience for them. With 10 years of teaching and 16 years of tutoring experience under my belt, I've had the joy of guiding learners from Kindergarten through 9th grade in subjects like math, algebra, and everything in between.
