Math Tutoring for 8th Grade

I’m a dedicated middle school math teacher who enjoys helping students build strong math skills and confidence. I believe math doesn’t have to be stressful, and I work hard to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

A graduate from Florida A&M University, Ashley majored in elementary education and has taught for 11 years. She is currently a middle school 8th grade science teacher who also devotes her time after school with sponsoring various organizations and clubs.

I love making learning fun! I have been teaching for more than 10 years, and I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten level all the way through 8th grade. I have taught all the core subjects: math, reading, science, and social studies. I have extensive experience working with students who need extra support due to learning disabilities such as dyslexia or dyscalculia, and I have also worked with students who are gifted and need an extra challenge.

Hi! My name is Roopreet Dab, but everyone calls me Roop, and I’m a fourth-year medical student with a passion for teaching. I’ve been tutoring students of all ages, from Pre-K through 12th grade—both in-person and online. I’ve worked as a Mathnasium instructor, a college teaching assistant, and even as a TA in medical school, giving me experience explaining complex topics in ways that are clear and engaging.

I have taught math for eight years, from 5th grade (most fun!) to high school. Now I teach 6th grade, and what I most like to talk about is the Math Dance! My students love it and do well.

I've been teaching for over 20 years and have experience working with learners from 2nd to 10th grade in a variety of subjects. I have taught in both Georgia and Florida, bringing a diverse range of experiences and perspectives to my classroom. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Education, and an Education Specialist degree. I also have several teaching certifications and special qualifications, including a Reading Specialist certification, Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies certification, an Early Childhood certification, and a Gifted and Talented Endorsement. I am also a certified Instructional Coach, and I am Google Level 2 Certified. These qualifications allow me to support learners of all abilities and learning styles. My passion for teaching extends beyond just the classroom. Outside of teaching, I love to read, cook, and spend time with my family. I am also an avid pickleball player and coach. These hobbies greatly influence my teaching style, as I incorporate elements of collaboration, gamification, and build strong relationships with my learners. I believe that by making learning fun and engaging, students are more likely to be motivated and successful in their studies. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family as we work together to achieve academic success!

My hobbies influence my teaching style, and I'd love to explain how! Outside of teaching, I'm incredibly passionate about solo traveling and skydiving. I have visited over 22 countries and I am a licensed skydiver with more than 60 solo jumps. My love for these hobbies has taught me to stay calm under pressure, trust the process, and remain adaptable in unpredictable situations. These skills directly influence my teaching style. In my classroom, learning is an adventure and failure is seen as a stepping stone to growth. I encourage my students to embrace challenges, take calculated risks, and develop resilience. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where they feel safe to explore, iterate, and learn, just like in skydiving!

Hi, my name is Mr. G. and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have over 20 years of experience teaching learners in 3rd through 8th grade in both, Mexico and US. During that time, I have had the opportunity to work with learners from various backgrounds and learning styles. My teaching experience is primarily in Texas, where I have honed my skills as an educator. I hold a Teacher certification Generalist EC-6, Math 4-8, Lote Spanish, and Bilingual education. My background in engineering and fluency in Spanish allows me to bring a unique perspective to teaching and connecting with learners.

I’ve been a teacher for 20 years and have taught everything from preschool to high school GED. Most recently I’ve taught middle school in alternative schools focused trauma based curriculum and I loved that area. A few years ago I had to leave full time teaching and started tutoring online at home. I fell in love with that as well and have been doing it ever since!

I have been teaching for roughly 13 years. I love my job. I have taught all subjects, but my passion is math.
