Math Tutoring for 4th Grade

Hello! I am Jillefia Ingle, a current college student at NC State University. I have tutoring experience working alongside a teacher to help students ever since I was in middle school! Now my goal is to bring my own knowledge to kids who need it.

With 5 years of experience, I have been teaching 6th grade Math in Illinois. I hold a B.S. in Statistics, a B.A. in Dance, and a M.A.T. in Middle School Mathematics. As a Professional Educators License holder, I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging for my learners. From knitting and singing to archery and DIY projects, I have a variety of interests outside of teaching. These interests also influence my teaching style, as I am always finding creative ways to bring fun and excitement to the online learning experience. When working with your kids, I will use their interests to create a personalized and enjoyable learning experience. With follow-up questions and effective strategies, I will make sure that their learning is not only fun, but also effective. I can't wait to get started!

With 25 years of experience, I have had the joy of teaching in the special education arena, in both Illinois and Louisiana. For the past nine years, I have been fortunate to teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, multi-sensory math in a school for children with Dyslexia. I love math, and I believe that students can learn difficult topics by using what they already know and building on that knowledge. In our online sessions, I would like to incorporate what sparks your learner's interest, guided questions, and great digital learning tools. I believe these will make the learning process engaging, enjoyable, and impactful. When I’m not busy solving math problems with students, you can find me getting lost in a good book or working on jigsaw puzzles. I love how my personal interests influence my teaching! Just like there are many different elements that come together to create an interesting book, I believe that learning math through a multi-sensory approach of physical, representational, and written abstract forms, helps expand mathematical understanding. I am excited to explore new adventures in learning together!

I have been teaching for 8 years, and have experience working with learners in Elementary through 12th grade in a variety of subjects including Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Career Resource Education. I am certified to teach K-6 in all subjects, 6-12 in Business Education and Agriculture Education, and have a reading endorsement. Besides my passion for teaching, I also have a few personal interests and hobbies that I enjoy outside of the classroom. I am a certified scuba diver and love exploring the beautiful underwater world. I also enjoy embroidery and spending time watching college football.

Originally from the wonderful state of Minnesota, I bring a global perspective shaped by travel to many countries and nearly every state across America. With over 30 years of experience in education, I am deeply committed to leveling the playing field by intentionally pouring into our youth and helping every child reach their full potential. Above all, I am a daughter, a mother, a friend, a partner, and a teacher—roles that ground my purpose and guide my passion for service and learning.

Hi! I’m Ms. Rambo, and I’m so excited to support your child on their academic journey! I have over 6 years of teaching experience, primarily with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. I’ve taught pre-K (ages 2–4), served as a long-term substitute in 5th grade, and currently teach 5th grade full time in Nevada. I also have 6 years of online teaching experience, including teaching English as a Second Language to students overseas. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Education with a focus on Elementary Education in July 2025. I have been teaching for 27 years, primarily in North Carolina, and I have loved every moment of it. I have been in the education field for nearly 20 years now. 8 of these years have been in the public elementary setting, and the rest of my time was spent in various private school settings...including leadership positions. I am so grateful to be able to have a career that I love! I truly enjoy working with students and their families in helping the students reach their goals. I love help students develop tools and strategies that build their confidence, which leads to greater success and a life long enjoyment of learning! I look forward to working with your family!

I'm currently a 5th grade teacher in a rural district in Michigan. I've taught 3rd -5th grade, along with preschool. I am certified for elementary, all subjects. I've been back in elementary education since 2018 after taking time off to raise my 3 daughters. I have completed training in LETRS and the Science of Reading, and also AMVR (Math Recovery). I have a Master's Degree in Education and am looking at returning to school for a second Master's Degree in Literacy or Curriculum and Design. Besides teaching, I have a small farm with cows, horses, chickens and barn cats. I also have 2 dogs. I am a mom to 3 grown daughters, and I have two grandsons, 10 and 3 months old. I tutor because I am passionate about helping kiddos have a positive experience in school and have mentors in their lives who are there just for them!
