Elementary Tutoring

Hi, my name is Mrs. Gilda and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With several years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of working with kids from kindergarten through fourth grade. I hold a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Education, which helps me bring a love for learning into each session.

I have been teaching for 23 years and have taught learners in PreK, Kindergarten, 2nd, 5th and 8th grade. I have also worked in Special Education, which has been a game changer for me. My teaching experience has primarily been in Louisiana and Texas. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified to teach EC-8, Special Education, and English as a Second Language (ESL). I believe that every learner is unique and I strive to create a fun and engaging learning environment for them. I make sure to get to know each of my learners' interests and incorporate them into our lessons. I also use various methods such as hands-on activities, games, and music to keep learners engaged. Apart from teaching, I love spending time with my family, exercising, baking, and cooking. These interests have influenced my teaching style in a positive way, especially since becoming a mom. I understand the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment for learners, and I bring that approach to my teaching. Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I am in my 9th year of teaching in sunny Florida. I work with learners from kindergarten through 5th grade. I mainly work with students in reading but am able to tutor in all subject areas. I have 3 boys and many animals (dogs, a cat, a snake, pigs, chickens, and a turkey). My family and I enjoy going out on the boat during our free time. Two of my boys play baseball and that is where you will find me most nights in the fall and spring. I look forward to learning more about you!

With 7 years of teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of helping many children grow to meet their fullest potential . I hold a Bachelors degree in Family Consumer Science and have a Science of Reading Certification. My goal is to make online learning fun and engaging for my students. To do that, I bring my energy and personalize each lesson to the specific kid. When I am not teaching, you can find me crafting or spending time with my family. Crafting allows me to be creative with my teaching methods, which ultimately benefits my learners. I can't wait to see what we can learn together!

I have been a teacher for 14 years. I have taught Kindergarten - 4th grade and tutored up to 7th grade. When I'm not teaching, I can be found at my church, reading a book, going to a concert and cheering on my beloved Green Bay Packers. I'm a dog lover with 3 fur babies who are high energy! I am also a Mom of 3 and Granny to 2!
