Hi my name is Ms. Carter and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for 17 years, mostly working with high school learners in the subject of mathematics. My experience has primarily been in Alabama, where I have enjoyed helping students improve their math skills while also building their confidence. My educational background is in electrical engineering, with a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's in mathematics education. My qualifications also include a certification in secondary mathematics education. When it comes to online learning, I know it can be challenging to keep things fun and engaging. That's why I make it a point to incorporate my learners' interests into the lessons. By using real-world examples and integrating things they enjoy, I strive to make each session exciting and interactive. Along with this, I also use assessment and review strategies to ensure that my learners are comprehending and retaining the information. Outside of teaching, I love crafting, creating graphic designs, and making custom items. These interests definitely play a role in my teaching style as I enjoy incorporating creativity and hands-on activities into my lessons.
