As an educator with 19 years of classroom experience, I believe every student can succeed with the right support. I focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment to help students develop critical thinking skills and build the confidence they need to become independent, lifelong learners. I’ve had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten as well as grades 3 through 6. I’ve also tutored students from Kindergarten through college, helping learners of all ages grow in their abilities, find joy in learning, and reach their full potential through patient, personalized instruction.

With 30 years of teaching under my belt, I've had the pleasure of guiding kids from Kindergarten through High School in all kinds of subjects—whether it’s Elementary English Language Arts, Science, or even Music and Piano, I love bringing learning to life! Florida has been my teaching playground, where I’ve seen learners shine in their unique ways. In our online sessions, I'm all about making learning joyful! I use an animated but calm tone of voice, sprinkle in some humor, and turn lessons into fun games. Personal stories? Oh, I have plenty! My passion for storytelling and music often finds its way into our lessons, making the experience memorable and engaging. I believe everyone can enjoy learning, and a little laughter goes a long way. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, playing the piano, or creating scrapbooks filled with memories. I love exploring the great outdoors with my family and chatting with friends. These interests fuel my teaching style, spreading my love for stories and creativity to my learners. Hello! I’m Dr. Jay, a dedicated special educator based in Mississippi. I provide tutoring for students from kindergarten through 9th grade across a wide range of subjects, including social-emotional learning (SEL). While I enjoy supporting learners in many areas, my greatest passion is Social Studies and History—I love helping students connect with the stories, people, and events that shape our world. Whether your child needs general academic support or focused guidance in these subjects, I’m here to make learning engaging, meaningful, and confidence-building.

I have been teaching for 21 years, specializing in Pk-12 education, special education, regular classroom teaching, math, and EBD. I have taught in Wisconsin and am currently located there. My degrees include a Bachelor's in Elementary Education for grades pk-6. I also hold a certification as a Neurodiversity Support Specialist. Online learning may seem daunting, but I have experience in making it fun and engaging for kids. I have taught online classes before the pandemic hit and have developed different games and interactive activities to keep things interesting. I also make sure to create a creative and interactive space for my learners to enjoy. Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests and hobbies that help me connect with my students. I love biking, reading, writing, coding, and traveling. These interests have also influenced my teaching style, helping me to incorporate robotics, game creation, and encouraging my learners to find their love for reading and writing. Hi my name is Mr. Moore and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have over 26 years of experience teaching English/Language Arts to learners in grades 6-12. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of subjects including AP English, Honors English, and English grades 7-12 in the state of Ohio. As an experienced educator, I am dedicated to making online learning enjoyable and effective for my learners. I believe that getting to know my learners is crucial in creating an engaging learning environment. I always look for the positives in each lesson and strive to make learning fun for my learners. By staying positive and incorporating fun into our lessons, I am able to ensure that my learners are engaged and excited to learn! When I am not teaching, you can find me cheering on my kids at their sports games or watching my favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes, play. I also enjoy reading, going on road trips, and spending time outdoors. My personal interests greatly influence my teaching style and methodology. I love using road trips as opportunities to learn about history and different places. I truly believe that we can learn from everything we experience, and I try to incorporate that mindset into my teaching.

With over 30 years of experience as an educator at various levels, my work has centered on supporting student success and academic growth. Currently, I serve as an instructional coach for Chicago Public Schools, where the focus is on helping teachers refine their practice to positively impact student learning. My educational background includes an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, an M.A. in Teaching, and a B.S. in Accounting, along with both Administrative and Teaching Licenses. This combination of experience and training allows me to approach tutoring with a deep understanding of instruction, curriculum, and student needs.
